Farewell Friend
My dear, sweet roommate (who is leaving me to move home..booo!) and I decided we are going to make 2011 our best year yet!! We have established a variety of goals and mottos to motivate us and began our “living” last night. We had a date to watch the Golden Globes, but I was late…and Hollywood is crude, so we decided to go to Target and get ingredients to make our favorite snack…Puppy Chow. While browsing the isles we decided to get brownie mix also. Why not?? We came home and prepared our indulgences. Then we decided we wanted to watch The Social Network, so we hopped back in the car and drove right back to where we had just been to rent a movie. On the way there I said, “It’s 9:15 and we are going to rent a movie while our puppy chow chills and our brownies bake. What the heck??” Kait said, “That’s what the old Stephanie would have said. We are living now!” We laughed together, but I was saddened at the thought that she is leaving me in four days! Anyway, we had a fun night stuffing our faces and being bored to death by the movie that never ended. Strangely enough the movie took home the award for best motion picture. I should have known it would be no good! Regardless, it was a fun night with one of my best friends. I am going to miss her more than she knows, but am going to make every effort to “live” as much as I can even after she leaves. I want to experience more and actually enjoy life. I’m such a task-oriented person and I need to learn to let loose and enjoy the journey! Kait has helped me do that. She has been an inspiration to me of someone who really loves life and doesn’t take it for granted. She is happy in all circumstances and makes the most of every situation. Thanks for being such an awesome roommate, friend, and sister in Christ. I love you so much and will miss you tremendously. We’ve made good memories that will last a lifetime! I love you, girl.

Oh girl!! After I read your post, I wasn't sure whether to run into the other room where you have been reading or stay here in my room surrounded by boxes full of all of my things and write you my response to help hold back the tears. Girl, you have been SUCH blessing, as well, and I can only imagine the MANY more fun memories the Lord will allow us to have together even across the miles (i.e. Brad Paisley Water Tour, spring break 2011 So. Flo. style, Lord willing) along with where He may take us along the journey of life now that we are totally and fully allowing the Lord to use us in any way possible now that we both have made a vow to each other as sisters in Christ and more importantly to our heavenly Father to LIVE LIFE to its very fullest! Thank you for being such a great friend, sister, Auburn fan, baking buddy and of course...roommate! :0) Love u chick!
I'm just sad...
